Rough-hewn elegance in Mazatlán’s unfinished corners
There’s something unfinished about this place that I find intensely beautiful; a sort of rough-hewn elegance and romance, juxtaposed against the most polished corners of Mazatlán.
In a sense it reminds me of LA in its confluence of abundant foliage and freshly-painted facades mixed with an element of decay. We’re about to get on the boat to Stone Island, and I’m moved by this view, a piece of life untouched by tourism.
