El Fuerte

El Fuerte

El Fuerte is a sunny town, with the soothing sound of water that runs through the river and becomes a kind of soft whisper that will accompany your days and nights, which will be spent between fresh food and traditional music. Here you will learn to coexist with nature as this village preserves its indigenous roots and uses materials from the earth to create euphoric dances, such as gourds broken in half that acquire acoustic characteristics when soaked in water.

When visiting this enchanting magical town, you have to explore Tehuoco (one of seven ceremonial centers), Iglesia de Dolores, the ruins of an old Jesuit temple, the observation point, or the Miguel Ángel Morales Ibarra Community Museum, where the robes, masks and instruments that were used during the traditional dances are displayed, as well as objects of the daily life of the Yoreme people.

Come to live a unique experience in one of Mexico’s Pueblos mágicos; visit El Fuerte.
