Deep Sea Sport Fishing
Mazatlán is one of the best places in the world for sport fishing, thanks to its abundance of marlin, sailfish, tuna, mahi-mahi, wahoo, and highly-coveted swordfish. Known as the new sport fishing challenge because it’s so hard to find, swordfish is not only abundant in Mazatlán – it’s the only place in the world where you can catch it in broad daylight.
You can practice sport fishing year-around in Mazatlán, and our experienced crews – who specialize in conservationist fishing practices – are at your disposal. Striped marlin season is January through April, black marlin May through August, blue marlin May through October, sailfish March through December, and swordfish is available January through May. Sea bass, shortfin mako shark, and blue shark proliferate in the winter months, and mahi-mahi and yellowfin tuna can be caught year-round.
